HOMEPAGE > WHO AM I?
WHO AM I? My name is Leona Sears, I am a member of the British Psychological Society (trainee counselling psychologist) and I practice from Wells Street in Central London. I am completing a doctorate in counselling psychology and psychotherapy at Middlesex University in London, which is accredited by the British Psychological Society and the Health Professions Council. I have been working in London with clients with complex as well as simple difficulties, trying to help them to come to terms with their situation and recover from emotional difficulties, so they can make the most out of their lives. I have gained skills in the area of trauma including torture of war victims, management of depression, anger and aggression, anxiety including panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, bereavement, domestic violence, confidence and relationship difficulties. You can find more information on the services I offer here: 'SERVICES'. My experience and the feedback I have been receiving from most of my clients made me believe that psychotherapy or psychological counselling works, and I feel delighted that I chose this career path, because I can contribute in bringing a positive change into my clients' lives and share the rewards of psychotherapy with them. I previously worked for the NHS, Marriage Care, Women's Trust and Bayswater Families Centre. |
